Job Summary:

Now, if you were to come on board as our Facilities Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Manage the delivery of all hard and soft services operations at our client site
  • Manage direct reports by providing technical guidance, leadership, motivation, and support to team members including supervisors, coordinators, skilled and semiskilled workers
  • Develop and implement work schedules for all subordinates to ensure proper workload and coverage of site requirements with respect to client operations.
  • Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee as management leader.
  • Oversee the onboarding of all new hires and implementation of required training.
  • Facilitate the procurement and training of thirdparty suppliers and implementation of a performance monitoring and evaluation reporting model.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to client capital asset and infrastructure project development and delivery.
  • Manage budgetary needs, monitor expenditures, and take corrective action when needed.
  • Provide monthly reporting of all service deliverables and key performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Be available for oncall shifts for possible afterhours.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Here's how we'll know you'll be successful in the role.


You have:

  • University Degree/College Diploma/Power Engineer license or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance and operations experience in commercial, institutional, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Advanced facilities technical knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting processes.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Proficient in CAFM/CMMS systems and ability to read blueprints and interpret design drawings/schematics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Common software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of various Federal, Provincial and local codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety, and sanitation.
