What's it like working as a Associate Manager, Investing Marketing Strategy at Questrade?

As a strategic thinker, this role will assist in development of marketing strategy for Questrade Financial Group's investing products and services.

Reporting to the Manager, Investing Marketing Strategy, you will play a key role in translating Questrade's investing product roadmaps and revenue goals into go-to-market and holistic marketing strategies.

In this highly cross-functional and strategic role you will need to build relationships and manage partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to our Product Management, Brand, Design, Content, Technology and Customer Experience teams.

Investing Strategy & Relationship Management:


  • Assist in the development of a holistic marketing strategy to support the launch of new investing products including but not limited to market analysis, strategy and positioning.
  • Build strong knowledge around the investing competitive landscape, customer insights, industry flows and trends to develop and inform product positioning.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to develop investing value propositions and product positioning that builds awareness and drives consumer demand.
  • Synthesize consumer insights, market trends (global and local), and competitive landscape to drive marketing decisions.
  • Assist in performing market research, gap analyses and competitor research to identify marketing opportunities and threats and support development of strategies to leverage or mitigate each respectively
  • Assist in competitive intelligence gathering, market research, and definition of customer and consumer personas.
  • Assist Manager Investing Marketing Strategy to define, monitor, and maintain QFG's competitive position
  • Support in identifying, quantifying and selecting which market segments should be targeted
  • Support QFG's mission, vision, and values in all interactions, plans and activities
  • Collaborate with investment Product Management to assist Manager Investing Marketing Strategy identify key functionality in each release, and the impact and value to customers
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to gain buyin on the gotomarket strategies

  • At least 23 years of relevant product marketing and/or marketing strategy experience
  • Experience in financial services and/or banking is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • A keen interest and/or knowledge of the investing space
  • Understanding of how to influence crossfunctional stakeholders and secure leadership buyin, specifically when introducing new or optimized strategies
  • Proven experience planning for, measuring and driving results
  • A successful track record of supporting strong product marketing strategies
  • Sound business acumen, judgment and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to build trust, reputation and credibility of marketing across the organization
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing and growing priorities with an eye for prioritization
  • Ability to collaborate and listen, a value for relationship building and are confident in asking others how to help clear roadblocks, and a genuine want to understand the opinions of others in order to incorporate it into strategies
