We are hiring a Collections Assistant


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist in the professional exhibition program and enhancement of the care and outreach of the Mann Art Gallery's Permanent Collection.


The Collections Assistant will select, research, and compile data on the artworks in the Permanent Collection of the Mann Art Gallery.

They will research the historical, social and artistic contexts in which the artworks were created, produce industry-standard photo documentation, populate the Collections database and upload compelling information and images on the gallery's website and other venues.

- are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee status in Canada;
- will not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed with the program;
- are legally entitled to work in Canada;
- are unemployed or underemployed;
- are between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
- have been a full-time high school, college, CEGEP or university student in the semester preceding the YCW work assignment; and
- are willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment;
- are not receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits while employed with the program;
- must be returning to full-time studies in the fall.

Students must be registered and have a valid account with Young Canada Works.

  • WAGE: $16/hour, 35 work week.
