The Community Recreation Supervisor plays an important role, providing quality leisure programs, services and facilities to our military members and their families.
Our services are tailored to help families with the challenges they may face due to military life and make the most of everyday activities such as going to the playground or day camp.
We believe that when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are able to take good care of themselves and their families, they can do better both at home and at work.
Whether families need to sign the kids up for swimming lessons, improve their fitness, make friends in a new community, our services are here to help.
We are looking for Summer Camp Supervisor for children aged kindergarten through 12 years old.Each week will be a new experience with a host of activities including both indoor play and recreation and outside activities.
You will get experience in designing recreational programs, teaching and leading individuals and groups while ensuring a healthy and safe environment.
Above all, your goal is to help the children have fun, and have fun yourself. We are looking for dynamic, independent and motivated individuals to join our team, helping us ensure recreation is all about funQUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma
Certification in one recreation program area
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport (successful completion by end of probation)
HIGH FIVE QUEST 2 (successful completion by end of probation)
HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)
Experience
In planning, organizing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation programs
In program development and instruction
In supervising personnel
In supervising the work of volunteers
In budget administration
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset
