Responsibilities & Duties

Preparing and cooking large quantities of food consistent with standard production practices.
Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image, and reinforcing the importance of a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
Assessing and verifying adequate ingredients are prepared and ready for the day's production
Ensuring the workstation is clean, organized, and sanitary
Ensuring the workstation is safe for all workers while complying with all health and safety guidelines and SOPs
Ensuring the workstation is closed down properly at the end of the shift, as outlined by SHFG food safety policy and relevant SOPs
Proper organization of fridges/freezers/shelves
Showing enthusiasm to new job details/requirements
Understanding prep levels and pickingup on trends of orders
Assist with daily prep as assigned by shift team leader
Daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning as assigned by the team leader
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Good knife skills
Ability to work under pressure and motivate team to finish tasks in a timely manner
Prior highvolume production prep experience is an asset
Strong attention to detail and positive work ethic
Team player

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 kgs.
Able to work in a temperaturecontrolled environment (0 to 6° Celsius)
Able to work long periods of while standing, bending, reaching, stooping
