About Us
The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and SNC-Lavalin. Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project.
The joint venture has been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Unit 6 and Unit 3 FCFR at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario.
This project is part of Bruce Power's Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power's CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064, the project is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace the main components of the reactor.
The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders for Unit 6 and Unit 3, as well as construction management and trade labor.
The Project Controls Coordinator will report to the Project Controls Manager and will be responsible for providing project controls support to ongoing projects & supporting the project controls teams in the deliverables they are providing.
What You'll Do Here
- Provide support to project team for project control activities as required, including estimating, proposal, cost systems (including project setup in SAP and P6), change management, schedule review, project reporting, and related processes
- Learn and operates within project specific contract conditions
- Participate in customer and internal management project status reporting meetings, as required
- Aid cost control and project accounting groups as required
- Other assignments as required by the direct line manager
- Develops reporting documentation as required for internal Joint Venture communications
- Interfaces between the project controls team and the engineering/construction team
- Support in Summarizing project status into effective communication tools (presentations, posters, etc.) for team effectiveness
- Coordinates and implements project communications initiatives as identified by the project team
- Active involvement in all engineering, procurement, quality, and construction matters for greater understanding of the project status
- Assists with coordination of change orders and tracking
What You Bring To The Team:
- 1-3 years of related experience is preferred
- College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proficient written (report writing) communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a highpressure work site environment
- Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
- Detail oriented & customer focus
