JOB TITLE:
SUPERVISOR - AIR FREIGHT

LOCATION:
Toronto

PRINCIPLE MISSION:

Offer superior service to meet the changing needs of customers. Manage and control departmental activities in order to meet objectives and according to the established budget.

Responsibilities:

Act as the resource person for the Bolloré network, the suppliers, and customer service (internally and externally) and ensure a high level of customer service is offered.
Assist the department manager with the preparation of the departmental budget and ensure it is followed.
Plan, organize and distribute the workload to team members.
Manage conflicts in an innovative manner.
Communicate, in a timely manner, the relevant information and issues to the immediate supervisor.
Propose the material or capital needs, according to the growth or changes in the department.
Recruit, train, supervise, hold accountable and evaluate staff. Put in place corrective actions.
Create a work environment based on respect and cooperation.
Understand and comply with established ISO procedures and transport laws and measure performance.
Prepare required reports.
Complete all required trainings for the position including but not limited to the good distribution of pharmaceutical products.
Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Profile:

For all levels, a diploma of collegiate studies or the academic equivalent, and experience in or training in management.

Level 1: 5-10 years' experience in the industry and 1-2 years' experience in supervision.

Level 2:
More than 10 years of experience in the industry and 5 years' experience in supervision.

Skills and Competencies:

Very good knowledge of MS Office environment; business acumen; fluent in French and English, both orally and written; leadership; integrity; excellent judgment; ability to negotiate; problem solving skills; team player; good decision-making, communication; composure.
