Position SummaryPosition Functions
Answer general telephone inquiries, regarding the rebar division products of Salit Steel.
Perform all duties associated with the shipping function of rebar products, including:
Receive customer orders and advise customer when material will be available.
Receive or generate production tags.
Organize tag files.
Issue tags to Production Supervisor.
Post schedule board and updates with customer delivery details.
Receive information from the Production Supervisor and or Production Manager regarding order progress.
Coordinate delivery of materials with customers and make note of when and where placers are required.
Enter order information into database, as required.
Order wire mesh as required.
Receive and forward bill of lading for incoming rebar and wire mesh products.
Contact couriers and or carriers to coordinate pick-up and delivery of drawings and other items, as required.
Receive monthly stock length sales information from accounting and maintain a monthly chart of stock length quotes and sales.
Generate and issue the appropriate bill of lading to comply with invoicing requirements.
Schedule and coordinate delivery of materials with customers.
Print bar lists and tags.
Provide backup to Inside Sales when required.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with company rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting as well as the shop floor.
On-going use of computer is required.Physical Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Post-Secondary education in office administration or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
3-5 years' experience in an administrative role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and basic diary/minutes management.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Meticulous records maintenance skills.
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
Strong customer service orientation.
