Description
The Comox Valley Campus of the North Island Hospital in the beautiful and family-friendly Comox Valley is seeking a full time General Internal Medicine specialist.
Applicants must hold Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) certification or equivalent, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
The successful applicant will join a collegial group of internists which will include (when current recruitment is complete) 9 general internists, 2 GIM/Intensivists, 2 respirologists, an endocrinologist and a gastroenterologist.
The proportion of ICU work is negotiable with the group and could be sufficient the maintain critical care certification if so desired.
Participation in the medicine call schedule is mandatory with an aspirational 1:9 or 1:10 frequency of night call which includes covering the community-level ICU.

up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
Relocation:
up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
Flat fee:
$10,516.77
Fee Premium: 6.93%
CME:
$2,200 annum year 3-4 and $4,400 annum after 4 years in the community.
