Located just minutes from downtown Montreal, Services aériens LUX inc [LUX Ground Services Inc] is a fast-growing company operating a FBO/Fixed-Base Operation service at St-Hubert Airport (CYHU).

LUX also operates a terminal at Quebec City's Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).

Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.

Role and context

The Airport Terminal Security Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security in the publicly accessible and restricted areas of the airport.

This role involves monitoring facilities, managing security checks for passengers and staff, and responding to emergencies to ensure everyone's safety.

Specific job requirements

Available: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am to 2pm and 9pm to 2am
Hold a valid security Agent licence (BSP)
CPR and defibrillator certification
Salary: $19.34 to $23.53, plus bonuses, according to the BSP charter
Fluency in French is required for this position. A thorough knowledge of English is also required in order to interact with Englishspeaking customers in Canada and elsewhere in the world.

Key responsibilities

Control access to secure areas of the airport.
Carrying out security inspections on passengers and hand baggage.
Monitor surveillance equipment and report any suspicious activity.
Assisting passengers and responding to their safety concerns.
Respond quickly to security incidents and emergencies.
Writing detailed reports on incidents and daily activities.
Managing crisis situations, including emergency evacuations.
