We are currently seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team in Vaughan, Ontario.
Accountabilities:
- Utilize technology to manage the Ministry of Health CPAP billing processes, including patient information, and payment transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any rejections, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate reports on Ministry of Health remittance reports, accounts receivable, claim status, and reimbursement trends for management review.
- Stay informed about changes in ADP (CPAP) funding, billing, and insurance policies to ensure compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, with specific experience in ADP-CPAP billing processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in medical billing, healthcare administration, or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using ADP software for billing and claims processing is essential.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to CPAP billing.
- Ability to analyze billing data, identify trends, and troubleshoot billing issues effectively.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and reconciliation.
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve and work as part of a team under mínimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- SalesForce experience would be considered an asset
