And our team is growing We are currently seeking a
Junior Noise Technician to join our team and support projects related to Air Quality Assessments, Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling reporting, Acoustic Data collection and modelling, Acoustic Assessment reporting, and ECA/EASR/REA Applications.


  • Complete site inspections; identify and collect data from air and noise emission points.
  • Conduct atmospheric dispersion modelling, noise propagation modelling, and associated report preparation.
  • Preparation of Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling reports and Acoustic Assessment reports for ECA Applications and EASR Registrations.
  • Air dispersion modelling using AERMOD, SCREEN3, CALPUFF, and other atmospheric dispersion models.
  • Model sound propagation using specialized acoustical software.
  • Outline specific actions that may be required based on land use planning supporting guidelines related to air, noise, odour and vibration criteria.
  • Assist with the design of emission controls.
  • Postprocess and analyze measurements using software modules and other tools.
  • Write technical documents including spreadsheet calculation methods and SOPs.
  • Adherence to health and safety protocols for self and support staff, if applicable.
  • Field work in all seasons; travel and overtime may be required.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering disciplines.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant employment experience in environmental noise and vibration (preferably in consulting environment).
  • Superior written communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate well with others and engage in technical communication (reading, writing and oral) in English.
  • Works well independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, AERMOD, SCREEN3, CadnaA, and STAMSON.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial legislation and regulations relating to environmental air, noise, and vibration
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness for occasional travel within Canada.
