Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is seeking an individual with a passion for healthcare planning, a high level of technical standards and a commitment to excellence to work with our Capital Planning and Redevelopment team.

Reporting to the Director of Capital Planning and Redevelopment, as a
Planning Coordinator you will participate in projects, which include Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) funded Capital Projects, "Own Funds" Capital projects, and minor moves and renovations.


In addition to supporting the Planning Leads on large capital projects, this team member will be responsible for the coordination and administration for infrastructure improvement and renovation projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Conducting meetings to gather project requirements from stakeholders and convey them to the outside design professionals;
  • Documenting project requirements to secure signoff from stakeholders;
  • Preparing diagrams and scaled plans in AutoCAD and Bluebeam to communicate spatial requirements;
  • Developing project schedules and phasing plans in conjunction with consultants' and other stakeholders' input;
  • Reviewing shop drawings for completeness and accuracy with respect to RVH Project needs;
  • Supporting Construction administration and cost control of projects, keeping detailed records in Excel;
  • Maintaining an "asbuilt" drawing library both in hard copy and electronic format.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma, preferably with studies related to in Architectural Technology, Interior Design or Construction Management, or another related field;
  • 3 to 5 years' experience working in design and construction is essential, with a preference for healthcare related project experience.
  • Proficiency in using the following is essential:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of the following:
  • BlueBeam Revu software
  • WSP Seawood FM Facilities Management Software
  • Demonstrated experience
  • Reviewing plans, specifications and contracts to ensure the correct equipment, material and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
  • Maintaining organized records of project decisions, costs and schedules.
  • Working in healthcare navigating the risks and mitigation measures of infection prevention and control during construction;
