WHAT ARE THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• 1-3 years of customer service experience (preferably in a call centre environment)
• Proven negotiation skills to effectively solve problems while demonstrating empathy
• Ability to de-escalate situations
• Above average computer literacy including MS office programs
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with great organizational and time management skills
• Adaptable to learn new things, shift priorities and maintain composure while meeting tight deadlines
• Flexible availability to cover day, evening and weekend shifts as required
WHAT KIND OF KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Use various modes of communication to contact customers to arrange payments
• Secure promise to pay, follow up for payment receipt
• Process credit card payments
• Accurately document customer files and ensure appropriate action was taken
• Manage account disputes
• Use creativity and investigative techniques to locate or obtain additional information
• Negotiate settlements within the assigned authorization level
• Other loss mitigation and recovery activities as assigned
