The incumbent and their team will work collaboratively with project peers and stakeholders to ensure the functional requirements of process and system design, build, test and deployment are delivered efficiently and effectively.

This role will work directly with cross-functional Directors and Managers to align the GDS organization, ensuring final solutions are optimized around the company's goals and objectives.


Note:
Internally this role is referred to as Business Design Manager CMH.


What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for leading the functional business process, high level system design (user perspective) and implementation of a nomination, scheduling, and accounting system that will replace the legacy systems of CARE, Entrac and Urica.
  • Lead a team of resources direct and dotted line reports, including functional experts and project resources (eg. Project management, OCM) to design functional business processes which include but are not limited to: process and data flows, reporting requirements, user/customer experience and interfaces, and change elements. (May include updating business processes to reflect new requirements eg. compliance, new product offerings).
  • Ensure business process and system design will meet current and expected future business needs.
  • Deliver recommendations and provide input on business value to support resource allocation, business cases, and architecture reviews.
  • Identify and resolve issues that are cross functional and require collaboration with other project track leads (and/or leaders outside the project) to problem solve for optimal endtoend solutions.
  • Set a positive tone for the work of the team: challenge status quo, support culture of innovation, work crossfunctionally, focus on user/customer experience.
  • Actively identify possible upstream and downstream business impacts, working collaboratively with the project management/interdependency lead/functional leads to resolve.

Who You Are:

You will have the following education and experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or equivalent with minimum 8 years of energy or gas distribution experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of energy markets, commercial/finance, and regulatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience with customer service, customer experience, and web services.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence with a broad network of stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership in demonstrating Enbridge's core values of safety, integrity, respect, and inclusion along the ways of working.

Preferred:

  • Experience with gas management (nominations, scheduling), gas supply, contracting, billing, or service design.
  • Demonstrated experience in knowledge of the North American storage and transmission infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledge of Enbridge products and services.
  • Experience with significant process or system change projects and experience working with the TIS department is an asset.

Working Conditions:
Travel expected 3-5 days/month. - Valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle required to be used for business purposes.
