ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the City's Senior Management team, the Fire Chief reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and assumes overall responsibility for the management and operations of Fire & Rescue Services.

The Fire Chief has direct oversight of the planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing of local fire fighting, fire prevention, rescue and safety operations, and programs for the City.

The Fire Chief provides leadership across the team and develops valuable and inclusive partnerships with key internal and external partners across the City, community, and sector.
