Position Responsibilities

  • Promote the program to successfully recruit 1012 participants per session.
  • Complete intake and assessment of program applicants.
  • Codeliver mental health/psychoeducation workshops to youth and young adults experiencing mildtomoderate anxiety in a group format.
  • Cofacilitate individual followup sessions.
  • Refer applicants and participants for additional support by contacting relevant community agencies, as required.
  • Collect program and participant data for evaluation purposes.
  • Plan and work within an approved budget.

What You'll Need

  • Post secondary education in the mental health or related field. Education in mental health or counselling related field preferred, such as counselling or social work
  • 3 years of experience working with youth years of age)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience conducting intakes and assessments
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mildtomoderate anxiety and mood problems
  • Experience facilitating mental wellness/psychoeducational groups
  • Ability to recognize mental health signs and symptoms beyond the mildtomoderate spectrum and to provide referrals to appropriate medical and community agencies
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check
  • Availability to attend virtual training in midAugust and early September hours per training)
