Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Operational Integration, the
Advisor, Operational Integration is responsible for supporting initiatives related to the operational integration of technology, systems and associated processes deployed in support of delivering effective, efficient and consistent screening operations in Canada.

The Advisor, Operational Integration is also responsible for carrying out analysis, providing advice as well as program and project support in the development and implementation of procedures, processes and systems.

The Advisor, Operational Integration performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

Successful completion of a university degree or college diploma in administration, logistics, industrial engineering, law or social science or some other specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
A minimum of three (3) years experience in analysis and/or project management in an operational delivery environment.
A minimum of three (3) years providing program support services, including experience in writing briefing materials, proposals and reports.
Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation affecting CATSA.
Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams.
Experience supporting the implementation of projects from beginning to end.

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:

Experience analyzing business issues and providing recommendations to management.
Ability to communicate (oral and written) in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent writing skills and ability to tailor communications to suit audience.
Ability to anticipate others' needs and proactively act upon this knowledge.
Ability to plan, prioritize and multitask on several different files.
Ability to work independently and to work well under pressure.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Tactful, cooperative and discrete.
Dependable and adaptable.
Excellent MS Office skills.

Valuable skills include:

Knowledge of project management principles.
Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of the aviation industry and the related regulatory and security issues.

Specific work requirements

Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to travel as required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
