Requirements:


  • Receive and inventory concrete related products.
  • Verify accuracy of shipment contents.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Organize storage yard space and maintain a clean site and accurate inventory.
  • Track, trace and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Receive purchase orders and assemble orders for delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers and internal staff regarding deliveries, stock levels and billing.
  • Create efficient delivery schedule.
  • Operate delivery truck and deliver product to construction sites in Edmonton and surrounding area.
  • Ensure delivery truck is clean and well maintained.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Participate in all safety initiatives including wearing PPE, completing pretrips, attending safety meetings, and identifying hazards.
  • Provide additional backup support to the warehouse and delivery team as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Strong administration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory control software including Jobber, as well as builder portals is an asset for this role.
  • Valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift.
  • Familiarity with the City of Edmonton and area roads and general geography.
  • Previous experience working in the construction or concrete industry is an asset.

Hours of Work:

Typical hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8AM - 4:30PM.


Physical Demands:

This is moderately strenuous work and frequently lifts material up to 30 pounds. Bending, crawling, lifting, and other mild physical demands maybe required.
