Located in Windsor, NS, Mernova Medicinal Inc is licenced to cultivate, process, and sell cannabis products under the Canadian Cannabis Act administered by Health Canada.

The company operates a 24,000 sq. ft. cultivation and processing facility, that has been purpose built to Health Canada GPP standard.

Mernova markets its products to provincial and territorial markets, and for medicinal purposes, under its Ritual brand.


Mernova is wholly-owned by Creso Pharma Limited, a public company listed in Australia with operations in Switzerland, Canada and the USA.


Summary of Position:

This is initially a term position. Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Finance, the position is a systems implementation project role.

Upon completion of the project and depending on the incumbent's qualifications and career path, the position could become Accounting Manager, providing daily accounting management services to the business.

The position works in close collaboration with Mernova's senior management and finance team as well as with finance personnel in the wider Creso Group.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide Project Management, comprising design, testing, implementation, and controls of Sage Intacct financial management system.
  • Deliver successful implementation of Sage Intacct accounting software solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of overall endtoend business process and supporting business systems i.e., Ample Organics, Sage Intacct.
  • Design and deliver solutions in Sage Intacct that improve efficiency, accuracy and completeness of accounting and inventory management data.
  • Work directly with the Director of Finance and the Finance team, both locally and at Group level, to shape solutions that access and report on business information and deliver results that impact corporate performance.
  • Provide quantitative and financial analysis, systems and processes documentation, software design and configuration, UAT and roll out.
  • Develop inventory management and reconciliation processes on a threeway basis, ie. Sage Intacct, Ample Organics, and physical counts, to ensure timely and accurate data.
  • Write userspecified reports of financial, quantitative, and statistical information as required from the Sage Intact System.
  • Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Members.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Finance/Accounting, Business and/or Information Systems.
  • Knowledge or direct experience in cloud accounting/ERP products (e.g., Sage Intacct, Ample) and industry trends.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience implementing ERP systems.
  • Understanding of business processes and transactional requirements, preferably in manufacturing, in areas such as purchasing, inventory, sales, warehousing, etc.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting.

Work Conditions:
Some responsibilities may require work outside of normal business hours due to international time differences.


Salary:
$62,449.00-$65,883.00 per year
