About us

The company has an opening for a Production Assembler.


Requirements for the position:

Education:


  • High School Diploma
  • Electronics Assembly Training at an approved institution such as Douglas College an asset

Experience:


  • 3 or more years' experience with electronic assembling to IPC standards

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must speak, read and write English.
  • Knowledge of electronic components such as capacitors, resistors, diodes, integrated circuits, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge and use of computer hardware and software an asset

Physical:

  • Should possess the ability to handle light lifting, work standing or sitting, have good hand/eye coordination and good eyesight with proven color discrimination.

Working Conditions:

  • Working mostly indoors in a temperaturecontrolled environment

Duties:


  • Installing and hand soldering components onto printed circuit boards
  • Install, mount, fasten, align and adjust parts, components, wiring and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies.
  • Meeting production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensuring the work area is organized and tidy and following the approved safety standards.

Schedule:
8-hour shift, typically 7:00am to 3:30pm with two paid 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.


Wages:
$18 - $22 / hr. depending on experience.
