Position Overview
We are looking for a Science/Engineering Co-op student to join our R&D team for a 4-month term starting May 3rd, 2023 to help support our testing objectives.
Working with the R&D team and reporting to the Research Scientist, this hands-on position will participate in a variety of projects that involve tasks such as handling and operation of the electrochemical test fixtures in the chemistry lab, result analysis and data reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow the test procedures provided by the R&D team.
- Support in operation of the electrochemical test setups to assess the performance and efficiency of the regeneration and fuel cell systems.
- Analyze and document results.
- Rigorously adhere to safety and environmental procedures for self and fellow employees.
- Assist with other ongoing tasks of the R&D group, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the lab.
- Support inventory management and assist in organization and storage of chemicals according to safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Coop students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in engineering, science or applied science.
- Previous experience working in a lab or R&D environment an asset.
- Computer literacy in Excel and Word.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with and around hazardous chemicals.
- Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with a desire to provide high quality work.
- Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of electrochemical systems an asset.
