Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction estimating process, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a background in project management to contribute to the success of our company.

Responsibilities:

Preparing estimates for all production jobs based on customer specifications.
Computer literate and can work with MIS software to produce, analyze and confirm estimates.
Estimating nonstandard work in conjunction with the CEO.
Effectively presenting and discussing the products and services of the company.
Analyzing labour, material, and time requirements for a project.
Addressing customer complaints and concerns, and facilitating a satisfactory resolution.
Developing knowledge of suppliers and competitive prices, and staying up to date on pricing changes.
Developing knowledge of inventory position, quantity stocked, usage, and reorder point.
Researching and recommending cost saving potential to management.
Follow up on quotations and projects.

Skills:1. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques

Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project plans and specifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
Familiarity with project management concepts
