Position Overview
Reporting to the Team Leader, In Force administration, the In Force Administration Analyst is responsible for processing transactions on existing insurance policies, quality control of transaction files received from clients, and analyzing and resolving transactions rejected by the automated processing system.
They will collaborate with other Administration department divisions on a range of work mandates including internal controls and audits in order to achieve departmental objectives.
Responsibilities Responsibilities**:
- Performs quality control on transaction files which includes updating the crossreferencing of codes used by clients and those in the SY-LVIE system.
- Enters Change, Renewal, Continuation and Termination transactions using reinsurance transaction files provided by clients.
- Analyzes and inputs transactions rejected by the automated processing system.
- Analyzes and extends premiums schedules rejected by the automated processing system.
- Researches the sources of grouped transactions rejected by the automated processing system, analyzes the causes and proposes processing solutions.
- Proposes prioritization levels for interventions related to transactions or extensions of premiums schedules.
- Enters substantiated and documented analyses in departmental archiving tools (AdminLink, data sheets, etc.).
- Drafts correspondence for clients regarding transactions requiring adjustment.
- Collaborates with all Administration department divisions to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborates with internal/external auditors on audit assignments.
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in administration or relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in new business reinsurance administration.
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is required to analyze transactional data in English and serve Englishspeaking clients.
- Broad knowledge of microcomputing (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of SQL and the SY-LVIE database structure.
- Knowledge of the life insurance/reinsurance sector is an asset.
