Ensures highest levels of working order of systems and proper repairs, through regular spot checks, implemented processes and training.Active involvement in current mechanical systems and ensuring their working order, makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and energy conservation.
Ensures delivery of exceptional service through focus on training, problem resolution, and performance management and colleague engagement.
Supports the Director of Engineering in the preparation of any budgetary needs for the department.
Ensure the maintenance of comfortable climate control in the building.
Consistently monitors and educates all contractors on site related to hotel policies, safety standards and guest services.
Monitors and ensures compliance on departmental health and safety programs, emergency response team procedures, all regulations pertaining to building code, health, safety, fire, and life safety requirements.
Prepares and follows upon inspections such as Fire Life Safety, Loss prevention etc and enforces recommendations from Risk Management inspectionsCreates and fosters a positive work environment throughout the hotel.
Drives to deliver Fairmont brand standards throughout the operation.
Qualifications Must have a valid Third or Fourth Class Power Engineering Ticket with Provincial Certification required.
Sound technical judgment with capacity for innovation.
Business thinker with effective computer skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines and changing priorities.
