Team
EDC's Strategic Change team is creating a new Principal position to support EDC's corporate strategy and change agenda.

As part of the Transformation Office (TO) Enterprise Change & Transformation team, the Principal acts and embraces all aspects of being an ambassador and champion for EDC's transformation and builds change leadership as a corporate capability.


Discipline Summary

  • Supports corporate strategy and transformation by developing, implementing and evaluating strategic change requirements;
  • Leads the change process for transformational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides agile change management support and advisory services;
  • Consults with partners at all levels on projects to assess change impacts and define a process for managing;
  • Designs agile plans for each change project to document process, sponsor/stakeholder roles, outputs, and target dates;
  • Tracks progress and identifies critical path issues;
  • Advises and provides followup guidance at group or individual level for managing the change process;
  • Oversees work of junior resources
  • Champions the use of the EDC Change Management Methodology;
  • Identifies process improvements and integrates these into ongoing updates of methodologies and tools;
  • Acts as key content expert and resource for all inquiries and activities related to the EDC Change Management Methodology;
  • Builds relationships with other corporate support teams such as Communications, Organizational Development and Learning and Development to establish respective roles within change projects;
  • Coaches and mentors other team members;
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in change leadership research and behaviours and change management methodology;
  • Leads others to solve complex problems;
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations;
  • May lead multifunctional projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity;
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including making presentations;
  • Excellent organizational consulting, customer service, and facilitation skills at all levels within the organization;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Excellent project management, prioritization and organizational skills;
  • Strong creativity and ability to work in an abstract or conceptual mode;
  • Ability to quickly understand and gauge corporate climate and culture.

Screening Criteria

  • Completed undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field;
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in employee and/or organizational effectiveness, or change management;
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational effectiveness or change management principles and practices.

Asset

  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)

Salary Range
- $109,700-164,500
