North West Paving is looking to hire a
Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. We are a progressive, growing company that has operated in the Edmonton area for over 50 years. We provide gravel, asphalt, and concrete services to Municipalities, General Contractors, and Developers in our community and surrounding areas. We are looking for field and shop mechanics.


Responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the Shop Manager and scheduling equipment maintenance at a high standard in a timely manner.
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot / Diagnose repairs on numerous brands of equipment.
  • Cleaning, lubrication and hourly maintenance work on equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Interpret work worders and manuals.
  • Writing service reports and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and professional work environment.
  • Support company policies and procedures regarding, health and safety, and scheduled maintenance programs.

  • Ensure all work performed meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.

Pre-employment:


  • Completion of Company Orientation
  • Drug and Alcohol test (paid for by the company)

Salary:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour

Experience:

- heavy duty mechanic: 2 years (preferred)
Paving Equipment: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Heavy Duty Equipment Ticket (preferred)
