We are looking to add a
Construction
Field Labourer to our Field Operations team based in Aurora.

Night Shift position available with very competitive hourly rates
($ /hr):
Benefits and Pension with the Union
Onsite kitchen with subsidized meal plan

Responsibilities

Promote a safe work environment and culture.
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks involving manual labourer, construction equipment and power and hand tools.
Accountable to ensure tools are properly used, treated with care, and returned.
Effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, other employees.
Help maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
Checking proper material is loaded before leaving to the job site.
Unload material and fuel trucks/equipment at the end of every shift.
Ensure daily maintenance/inspections are carried out for all equipment used and that defective equipment is written up via vehicle defect form and tagged out.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

12 years' experience within the construction industry in a labour driven role
Experience with road construction a strong asset
Perform a wide variety of jobs and duties as assigned, with a high level of proficiency and accuracy
Ability to work yearround in all types of weather which may involve muddy, slippery or icy surface conditions, and uneven terrain
Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record
AZ or DZ driver's license an asset
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs+ regularly
