We are currently looking for a Leasing Agent to join our exciting team of dynamic professionals in our growing organization.

Position Description:

  • Liaison between Tenants, Owners, Site Staff and Head Office
  • Manages all facets of rental leasing and administration as well as ensuring complete tenant satisfaction
  • Follows up with Site Staff on any outstanding inquiries or service requests
  • Tendering for service contracts as required
  • Performs site inspections as well as movein and moveout inspections
  • Prepares reports for the Building Owners including but not limited to written recommendations for physical repairs and/or replacements as required
  • Represent clients at the Landlord and Tenant Board
  • Enforces By-Laws, Rules and Regulations
  • Supervises outside contractors working on site, ensuring scope of work is being completed as per specifications of the contract
  • Collects delinquent payments and returned cheques, reviews all delinquent accounts for handling and/or direction
  • Prepares preventative maintenance checklist for maintenance personnel to perform
  • Reviews in detail all purchase orders to ensure clarity and justification of requirement
  • Approves all invoices for payment against the purchase order as soon as they are presented and returns to accounting for payment

Position Specifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in residential property management
  • Minimum of 3 years administration and supervisory experience
  • Encouraged to attend any trade association meetings
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and the Landlord and Tenant Board
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Knowledge of financial and administrative matters
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other computer related skills
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety Plan and Life Safety Systems
  • Ability to deal with tenants/owners in a courteous and professional manner
  • Problem solving skills required
  • Ability to delegate, motivate and react quickly and in difficult situations
  • Problem analysis and interpretation is required within the scope of duties
  • Ability to analyze various situations and determine the correct course of action required to achieve the desired result
