Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited is seeking a Materials Trainee based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Materials Trainee Program provides you the opportunity of hands on experience in operations across the region while learning all aspects of our business.

This is achieved through the delivery of a development program combined with critical experiences and projects that are important to our business.


What you will get to do:

  • Participate fully and actively in all assigned development activities
  • Support the aggregate and concrete division in achieving production goals through partnering with experienced professionals and managers in different departments (safety, operations, human resources, environment, maintenance, quality control)
  • Participate in daily and weekly production and maintenance meetings
  • Learn basic supervisory skills by working side by side with experienced supervisors
  • Responsible for reporting and tracking key performance indicators

Who we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree with solid academic achievement
  • Must have a strong desire to work in a mining and industrial environment
  • Prior manufacturing or mining experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be a selfstarter and take initiative
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond well under pressure
  • Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
