THE OPPORTUNITY
to work for our public sector client at the
Fraser Health Authority (FHA) in the Province of British Columbia.

You must be available
100% to work remote full-time 40 hours per week with availability Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in the Pacific Time Zone
.

consultant is expected to start dat is September 11, 2023 and the
contract length is 1 year.

Project Context


Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities.

Advance is Fraser Health's largest multi-year transformational program which will impact over 30,000 staff and clinicians across 13 sites.


The Advance program seeks to improve the way we deliver care and the way patients experience care for better outcomes.

The project focuses on re-imagining the clinical workflows for greater efficiencies and coordination across providers, enabled by the new Meditech Expanse platform.

This transformation will increase automation and provide easier access to data to gain insights for improved patient care and in support of continuous quality improvements (CQI).

We are now in the optimization and sustainment phase for our first implementation site, requiring coordination and planning of this work for Eagle Ridge Hospital, in addition to informing the processes and structure for optimization going forward with remaining implementations.


Service Required
The Advance program is seeking READY BA Builders, with extensive experience in clinical design and build within Clinical modules for Meditech Expanse Advance:

  • (1) PCS/LD Builder with preference for those who have prior background in Perinatal and or NICU
- (1) OM/PCM Builder with preference for those who have prior background in Pediatrics and or Perinatal, NICU
- (1) PCS/EDM Builder with preference for those who have prior background in Emergency and Trauma units
- (1) PCS or OM/PCM and or CWS Builder with preference for those who have prior background Interventional Radiology

Build experience within MEDITECH Expanse 2.2 an asset


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Leverage knowledge and expertise to build designed orders and order sets in MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals
  • Advise the team members on technical aspects and impacts within MEDITECH Expanse, Advance Clinical that may design/influence design
  • Function within greater project plan report progress, risks/issues to Project manager at defined cadence
  • Work with other Project teams (as required) to ensure system build is in alignment within great workflows
  • Collaborate within groups to establish recommended design; support conversations with robust knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals
  • Support governance conversations, presentations with technical knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals
  • Make recommendations/ advise on alternate solutioning options (where applicable)
  • Participate in configuration and build activities within all HCIS rings.

Risk and Issues Management:


  • Implements and/or contributes to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the life cycle of the project;
  • Responsible for ensuring risks and issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Timely escalation using the escalation and governance process and structure;
  • Accountable and responsible for ensuring risks and issues are effectively registered, monitored and followed to conclusion;
  • Maintains ongoing support for initiatives from project sponsors and user groups, keeps stakeholders informed of project status and ensures effective communication channels are in place;
  • Makes recommendations regarding project scope as applicable;
  • Assists with the maintenance of project artefacts, including project plan, risks and issues log, action items, deliverables log, decision log etc.;
  • Ensures that transparent, datadriven project reporting is in place with clear alignment to the approved project plan, deliverables, and milestones; ensures that weekly and monthly status reports are collated, developed, and provided in partnership with the Transformation Management Office;
  • Participates in various governance and project meetings as required;
  • Mentors internal staff to ensure knowledge transfer;
  • Orientation & Onboarding: Work closely with the TMO to develop, maintain and adjust an orientation package for new resources;
  • Administration: Work closely with the TMO to ensure new resources have been onboarded; issues addressed and resolved;
  • Performs other duties as directed by the project manager's direct line manager. In addition to the above, project managers will hold specific functional accountabilities based on the areas of the program they are assigned to lead, support, and drive.
