    HOURS - Full Time - 40 hours per week

    Reporting to the Director, Fundraising and Public Relations, the Grant Officer enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients through their assumed responsibility for the planning, development and execution of fundraising activities, grant and sponsorship identification and solicitation that generates or has the potential to generate additional resources needed to assist Good Shepherd Ministries in responding to the needs of the homeless, disadvantaged and marginalized in our community.

    Research, analyze, identify potential corporate and foundation funders and develop new donor relationships in collaboration with the Director, Fundraising and Public Relations;
    Develop and write compelling proposals and applications to corporate partners, charitable foundations and individuals (as required) and assist in composition of other correspondence for the department;

    A bachelor's degree in a related field of study (nonprofit management, business communication, etc.) Minimum three years of fundraising experience with a demonstrated ability to project positively and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

    Ability to meet stringent deadlines, prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team on projects and team priorities.
    Experience interfacing between databases, spreadsheets and word processing systems.
    Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher, working knowledge of Raiser's Edge software program, and ability to work in a cloud environment.
