Position Summary:

Enhances client experience by responding to general and specific Health Benefit claims related inquiries. Provides culturally safe support by offering information and assistance to First Nations clients regarding Health Benefit programs areas. Collects and inputs relevant data pertaining to customer service and provides monthly reports.


As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Postsecondary course work in office practice, plus 2 to 4 years administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


  • Knowledge of First Nations communities and the FNHA Health Benefits program
  • Strong people skills, with an ability to form dynamic working partnerships with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problems solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills communicates effectively and sensitively with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Data input and maintenance techniques, ability to verify information against established criteria and the ability to use spreadsheet programs and customized databases to support FNHA requirements.
  • Must be proficient in current office productivity software (Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access).
