Position Description

We are looking for an analytical and experienced individual to fill the role of Demand Planner.


The Demand Planner is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Consumer Channel and Sales teams to accurately forecast promotional and run rate business for the Home Depot account.


You will have the responsibility of all forecasting activities associated with your account: develop unit forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends to improve forecast accuracy, perform root cause analysis of demand issues, and provide monthly Sales & Operations updates to the leadership team.


What You Will Do:


The Demand Planner assists the Sales and Channel teams to support the growth of their accounts while ensuring targets for fill rates and forecast accuracy are met.


In this position, the Demand Planner will:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Channel, and Supply to develop forecasts at a SKU level
  • Develop consistent communication and processes with Sales leadership and Channel to ensure promotions are supported and forecast expectations are clear
  • Tracking of promotional orders to forecast, recommendation of allocations to the customer
  • Loading of new product launch forecasts and transition planning
  • Summarize and communicate the total dollar roll up for Sales and Product across all business units
  • Assist Sales by analyzing ordering trends, highlighting items where forecasts do not match trends, and recommending adjustments to correct
  • Proactively communicate risks to inventory availability with Sales
  • Generating reports related to supply chain metrics including in stocks, forecast accuracy and inventory
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Channel and Finance teams in developing the annual sales budget
  • Work to continuously improve internal processes and metrics

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain or Order Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, operations, or another relevant field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to manipulate data quickly through Excel
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems (SAP, Logility, Power BI)
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, collaborating with a crossfunctional team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and analytical skills
