The Marketing Specialist is a creative, detail-oriented person who enjoys bringing new ideas to the table and can independently synthesize materials and graphics to craft a compelling narrative for the firm's vision and the value proposition of Cheme to our current and prospective clients.

The Marketing Specialist is a self-starter passionate for branding and capable of crafting Cheme's presence in social media and on the web, and has the strategic foresight to develop and drive marketing strategies and campaigns to accelerate Cheme's growth and differentiation in the marketplace


Job responsibilities include:

Brand and Content Management:


  • Align and be a champion for brand management in the firm
  • Lead the development, improvement and maintenance of marketing promotional material including presentations, illustrations, graphics, project descriptions, staff CV's, and references to meet the corporate brand style guide
  • Interview technical staff to prepare project descriptions, storyboards, assets, and additional marketing materials as needed
  • Write nontechnical "boiler plate" material (cover letters, executive summaries, staff bios, etc.)
  • Manage marketing content library to ensure high quality of information and improve response time for proposal responses
  • Perform necessary proposal closeout activities including proper filing and documentation, updating company marketing materials, client presentations, and proposal templates
  • Coordinate branding of promotional materials and assist with ordering and tracking inventory of marketing supplies and promotional items
  • Manage marketing campaigns and outgoing promotional materials
  • Proactively maintain Cheme's client relationship management system and associated databases
  • Support preparation for conference and trade show visits, including the coordination and synthesis of technical presentation content
  • Manage sponsorships that align with Cheme values
  • Assist with photography, procurement of photos, and digital editing.

Social Media and Website Communications

  • Champion social media efforts across multiple platforms and websites
  • Assist with maintenance and development of our website, blog, and corporate accounts on social media platforms, including regular postings to LinkedIn
  • Manages Level AA Accessibility to remain compliant
  • Leads analytics reporting and analysis for online channels
  • Designs and uploads approved social media posts
  • Performs competitive social media research and analysis;
  • Produce a variety of written communications in support of our public relations plan, including press releases, articles, project histories, and staff profiles.
  • Coordinate content and development of internal newsletter/blog.

Proposal and Bid Preparation

  • Assist with all phases of RFP proposal and responses by reviewing, editing content, and incorporating marketing materials
  • Write and develop clear, persuasive proposal content and other sales materials that are technically correct and clearly convey a compelling story that resonates with the customer and incorporates win themes.
  • Develop and tailor proposal responses to address items such as: important concepts and terms, client needs, critical issues, and company strengths through a wellcrafted document
  • Coordinate with team members for RFP project content collection, develop custom graphics, and assist in the presentation development
  • Coordinate proposal responses to meet specific technical requirements addressed in RFP/RFQ solicitations
  • Edit and proofread proposals, technical documents, and marketing collateral for grammar and clarity to ensure continuity and quality of marketing materials

Requirements:


  • University degree or College diploma in marketing, communication, journalism or a related field
  • 37 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry is not mandatory but is considered a strong asset
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Photo Shop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with CRM database programs (Salesforce)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong editorial writing and communication, journalism is an asset
