Eaton is seeking an Intern - Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering Team for a 16-month contract. The Engineering Intern will be located in Milton, Ontario.

Position Overview:

This position will work closely with Custom Order Product Specialists, creating/updating as-built ACAD-Electrical drawings, improving/enhancing front end tools (MS Suite).

In addition, the position will support on Design Automation projects and Mechanical Design Team's Continuous Improvement activities.


Essential Functions:


  • Creating/updating ACAD-Electrical drawings and supporting Engineering Department on related activities.
  • Leading & assisting with improvements to databases (MS Access) and MS Suite Tools.
  • Actively participating in plant wide lean activities.
  • Supporting Engineering Department with cost improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Complete other duties/projects as required.

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Enrolled and returning to a College or University program in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • This position does not offer relocation.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior internship or coop experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.

  • Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely, on multiple projects, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good analytical/problemsolving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
