Hatch is actively seeking
Transportation Field Checkers to join our Highways & Bridges Division on a contract basis.
In this role, you will be based on various sites throughout the Thunder Bay area and have the opportunity to work on high profile project sites being undertaken on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation throughout the province and local Municipalities throughout the Northwest.
Responsibilities:
- Providing a field presence as directed by the Contract Administrator, collecting data in the field and drawing conclusions from the data;
- Providing reports and complete checklists on operational performance of Contractor.
- Collecting data in the field, compiling data and providing observations or conclusions;
- Identifying items of significance in the field;
- Working with the Contract Administrator and team to establish checklists and procedures;
- Tracking and documenting the placement of weight materials on the work site;
- Provide support to other site staff with material sampling and sample delivery.
Qualifications:
- Secondary School Diploma;
- Some experience tracking large scopes;
- Observational, communication and analytical skills;
- Valid Ontario G Driver's license and good driving record;
- Customer service focus and attention to detail;
- Microsoft Excel, Word, experience is beneficial.
