reinforce its leadership in light and sustainable construction in the Canadian market.

With Building Products of Canada, Saint-Gobain will be well positioned to better serve Canadian customers, to whom it will bring a broader innovative and sustainable range of solutions.

In support of this acquisition "BP Canada", has an exciting career opportunity for a
Supply Chain Manager.


The incumbent is responsible for leading planning activities and the coordination of the S&OP process for BP products to provide superior customer order fulfillment in the most cost-efficient manner.

He/She is responsible for ensuring collaboration amongst cross functional teams to assess internal supply constraints, develop rolling production plans and work creatively to meet business targets.

Qualified individual will have a customer centric and agile mindset providing analytical and strategic support to key supply chain must win battle initiatives.

This individual is a customer centric change agent, anticipating supply constraints, looking for opportunities to increase customer volumes and customer satisfaction, and providing solutions to meet and exceed budget in a fast paced and ever-changing supply environment.


Here's what you'll be responsible for in this role:

  • Lead a high performing team of 8-10 professionals of production and demand planners to ensure we deliver product with a customer centric mindset in a manner that hits our key OTIF objectives.
  • Leads BP products Sales and Operations Planning process, including coordination on US distribution to Canada:
  • Builds monthly Executive S+OP results deck.
  • In collaboration with sales, and considering history and market indicator analysis, provides the best forecast for short term, midterm, and longerterm planning for all Canadian facilities and regional markets.
  • Justifies and proposes overtime and shift schedule changes as required to meet inventory targets and production requirements.
  • Provides clear communications to plants, sales, finance, and other key functions on plans.
  • Drives innovative results of customer centric and Continuous improvement initiatives to deliver on Must win battle initiatives around leveraging One Canada and Customer Centricity
  • Responsible for managing analysis on US product opportunities to ensure that we maximize support in a manner that is profitable to the business.
  • Reduce total delivered costs while achieving service level targets; Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Capacity planning; inventory optimization planning & execution.
  • Work with Operations to determine longterm product supply solutions for optimal costs and service.
  • Define, implement, and oversee execution of inventory, master production scheduling, and DRP strategies
  • Provides scenario based forecasting and adhoc costing analysis for purpose of strategic decision making
  • Ensure secure supply of inbound (in conjunction with purchasing) and outbound logistics services with accountability for on time and damage free deliveries at the lowest possible cost.
  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.

Requirements Here is what's important to have to apply**:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology or Engineering; or equivalent experience
  • Bilingualism is required as you will be asked to communicate with team members Canada wide.
  • Ten (10) years of experience leading high performing teams in an evolving business environment
  • Six to eight (68) years of applied professional experience working in operations planning, specific experience with material requirements planning and forecast development
  • Three to Five (35) years experience in customer facing role
  • High degree of analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with business acumen is essential
  • Independent thinker with ability to counsel/advise others and incorporate outside counsel/advice
  • Ability to provide leadership and innovation at all levels of the organization
  • Change management and conflict management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
