Monday to Friday
These are your responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers and related equipment for all Centre for Skills programs and projects.
- Liaise with external marketing company and Centre for Skills Marketing & Communications Department and assist with web page development when required
- Liaise with third party vendors when required to assist with network/server modifications.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems and provide recommendations for upgrades to computers and related equipment.
- Identify client support requirements and ensure team efforts are focused on providing end users with hardware and software support with appropriate company standard equipment.
- Install software and computer upgrades and workstation printing functionality.
- Maintain troubleshooting work plan to provide ongoing technical support to all staff and programs in a fair and timely manner.
- Install and configure antivirus software on all workstations in the organization and Deep Freeze on all public computers in the organization.
- Reimage workstations when required.
- Provide staff inservice on the mechanics of hardware/software use when required.
- Assist with education of staff regarding technology best practices.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of hardware and software standardization, security, disaster recovery, service provision, asset management.
- Recover files from backup when necessary.
- Participate in the design and administration of Centranet and SharePoint
- Travel to sites as required managing IT site requirements.
- Assist with telephone issues when required.
- Respond to task schedule as outlined by the Senior IT Lead.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Other duties, as assigned, related to the smooth running of Centre for Skills technology.

- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and follow directions from manager and work as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills; friendly, approachable, and welcoming interpersonal style
- A+ Certification and Network Plus certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10) Windows server 2022 including troubleshooting, installation, imaging, networking, etc.
- Hardware troubleshooting, repair, and setup (desktops and laptops)
- Antivirus installation virus and spyware removal
- Experience with basic printer troubleshooting and repair.
- Willingness to travel throughout Halton and Peel regions as required
