Job Title
Manager, Communications, RBC Wealth Management (12 Month Contract)
What will you do?
- Promote Wealth Management priorities and successes internally through creative storytelling, employee profiles and business updates on internal intranets and social channels.
- Oversee our internal newsletter and maintain a robust internal content calendar that captures the global nature of our businesses and engages our employees
- Support town halls and other internal events.
- Responsible for daytoday activities on WMnet, including postings, scheduling and maintenance
- Working with the team, develop and manage media relations strategies and tactics (story ideas, news releases, media pitches) designed to promote Wealth Management Canada with key journalists/media outlets
- Develop relationships with Wealth Management Canada business leaders and work collaboratively with key internal partners helping to enhance Wealth Management across the enterprise.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in journalism, public relations, communications or related studies
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in media relations, employee communications and social media programs
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with experience writing media materials, blog/LinkedIn posts, presentation decks, speaking notes, creating videos, internal feature stories etc.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to provide clear and concise communications counsel
- Experience using storytelling concepts to bring financial topics to life
- Ability to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneously
Nice-to-have
- Bilingual
- Knowledge of financial / wealth management industry
- Experience with Photoshop, content management systems and video editing software
Job Summary
The Manager, Communications, RBC Wealth Management will help execute on internal and external communications strategies designed to engage employees while enhancing and protecting the reputation of RBC Wealth Management Canada.
Working closely with partners across Communications, Marketing and the various Wealth Management businesses, the Manager will contribute to business objectives through creative internal story-telling, refreshing content on our intranet sites, looking for ways to promote Wealth Management across RBC, support our proactive & reactive media relations activities, monitor and analyze industry trends, profile our community giving activities and support the team on daily communications requests such as event and leader communications.
