How You'll Make an Impact:
Position Overview

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Acts as the technology owner for major/critical/strategic projects.
  • Takes full responsibility for the development and implementation success of FCC's critical projects by working in close relationships with the Project Manager, the business, and external partners to control the results.
  • Provide extremely close followup on project advancement, excellent communication with all parties and ensure support of new products and services is seamlessly transitioned to the appropriate support team.
  • Participate on steering committees for projects and takes accountability for the budget and delivery schedule of projects delivered by the team
Relationship Management

  • Engage and build relationships with senior business leaders, external partners, and with other Fidelity companies to reach a common goal for standards, processes, expertise, development, and project delivery
Support Services

Business planning

  • Establish, manage, and control budget, yearly objectives, and longterm planning for the business analysis and development groups.
Leadership

  • Foster an environment that seeks to identify and develop high potential individuals and successors.
  • Develop and motivate senior staff through individual development programs and effective training programs, by example and leadership
  • Create a culture of innovation and forward thinking within the team
  • Provide leadership that helps improve level of efficiency, effectiveness, professionalism, and employee engagement
  • Set challenging goals and work standards
  • Effectively communicate goals and priorities through regular feedback
Innovation

  • Continually find new and innovative ways to use technology to drive better client experiences, sales, workflow and automation enhancements, business process improvements, and/or IT cost efficiencies, to instill this in the team and effectively communicate within FCC

What We Are Looking For:
Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in senior level management positions overseeing complex information technology service units for major organizations
  • 7+ years of experience within the financial services industry
  • Experience in the administration of management information systems and enterprise technologies
  • Experience with Broadridge Dataphile
  • Experience with Retail Wealth Management in Canada

Education:


  • University degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, including demonstrated skills in business analysis and design.
  • Thorough knowledge of hardware, software, and current and emerging information and technology services
  • Knowledge and experience the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated change management and delivery capabilities at an enterprise level.
  • Strong negotiation and partner management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business, industry, and partner/parent organizations
  • Ability to understand and communicate the broader picture to all stakeholders and to demonstrate an understanding of stakeholder in
