The Specialist Operations - Dispatch position will provide oversight of the Dispatch team to deliver safe and high performing staffed and AHS operations, leveraging the integrated AHS FrontRunner and Modular Dispatch fleet management systems.

Minimum Requirements:

10 years of experience in Mine Operations open pit mining
2 years experience in AHS operations required
Previous dispatching experience an asset
Proven experience in leading teams, and driving continuous improvement
Ability to assess data/ KPIs and drive actions to improve performance
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Komastu AHS FrontRunner specific experience is an asset
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Key Accountabilities:

Analyze AHS system and mine performance data and KPIs to continually optimize overall mine performance
Works closely with the Shift Production Manager, field leadership, and field ops specialists to provide guidance and expertise to achieve optimize production targets and operational support across the mine. Identify improvement opportunities and then drive actions to optimize both autonomous and staffed mine performance
Collaborate with functional technical teams (Applications and Network) on system Reliability and Performance. Drive quick responses to system outage events
Integrate the activities and data from AHS Frontrunner, Mine Connect, operator care centre and other data sources to help drive overall equipment performance
Coach and mentor Mine Dispatcher Leads to accelerate their personal learning including fostering strong dispatcherfield collaboration and exchange
Conduct field visits with Mine Dispatcher Leads to grow their experience and drive onshift performance with the field team, such as AHT route network optimization
As AHS ramps up, scale the team ensuring required training and competency growth to create a high performing team
Initiate the development, reviews, and updates to operations governing documents
Stewards assigned operations related incident investigations and corrective actions

Location & other key details

You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12hour shifts)
This position is safety sensitive
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
