What is the opportunity?
Contribute to the strategic Canadian Banking Operations and Credit Advisory Group business priorities by supporting Commercial Relationship Managers (RM) with new client acquisitions, increases and credit renewals for

What will you do?

  • Provide quality business analysis for existing clients and deliver on RM turn around expectations for credit requests, renewals and more complex credit deals
  • Maximize opportunity spotting to enhance retention, referrals and sales activities, and manage the credit renewal process efficiently, to help provide RMs with more client facing time
  • Complete monthly credit reviews, balancing client needs and high risk situations effectively, while ensuring RMs are informed of any changes in the review schedule
  • Exercise due diligence in approving credit renewals and influence portfolio quality through credit risk assessment, strategic assessment and proactive management of expired credits
  • Identify risk issues, take proactive action and stay abreast of Credit Administration & Compliance and economic trends
  • Partner with business RMs, to optimize overall processing time, and provide coaching and support to other Analysts on the team

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Commercial Lending, Commercial Credit or Small Business lending/credit experience
  • Solid complex commercial lending experience
  • Strong financial statement analysis skills
  • Professional oral and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage work volumes to meet deadlines efficiently
  • Capability to recognize enterprise solutions that can be leveraged to improve the client experience

Nice-to-have

  • Commercial Relationship Management or Commercial Adjudication experience
  • Business degree
  • Bilingual in French and English
