Customs and Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordination of all in-bound and outbound logistics requirements to satisfy engine build programs.

This role is responsible for controlling, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of Siemens Energy Canada (AGT) traffic.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate all factory requirements for the inbound and outbound shipment of goods in support of production lines, spare parts orders, and subcontractor repair orders
  • AGT Montreal facilities logistics point of contact for outside CSRs, vendors, manufactures and within the various AGT product portfolios
  • Processes and maintains records for all daily import and export transactions
  • Align with Siemens Energy export process (Sale, Repair & Return, After Repair & Return, Temporary Import Bond (TIB), Manual Request for Export) by providing information and guidance to Siemens and its customers relating shipment of material and other export matter
  • Interacts with transportation providers (transport companies, shipping lines, air transport, customs agents, and freight forwarders) to ensur

  • Timely release and delivery of shipments
  • Rapid problem solving
  • Resolution of import/export issue/situations
  • Coordinates with commercial team for finished goods dispatch
  • Accountable for the timely verification and approval of freight invoices for payment.
  • Assists integration of new or amended government traffic regulations or operational requirements (Packaging, road and weight restrictions and hazardous materials content)
  • Keeps abreast of changes to procedures and practices relating to international/domestic transportation, through industry awareness, government publications and seminars
  • Involved in obtaining traffic documents required in damage claims (LO1 document, pictures, commercial document, packing list, waybill number)
  • Works with Corporate Export Control & Customs (ECC) for all export documents/requirements
  • Monitors daily air import shipments (i

arranges pick-ups for all flights arrivals, ensures no storage charges to Siemens 'account, diverse shipments as per stakeholders' instructions)

  • Coordinates shipments as per MRPs group instructions
  • Assists supervisor with auditors during discretionary audits

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics management or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years directly related experience in an International Traffic (Preferable in the Aeronautics or Automotive) or International Trade and Transportation (distribution) logistics or the equivalent working experience in a similar field
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Efficient and Effective Problem Solver
  • Able to work in a fastpaced production environment
  • SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word knowledge
