Description
The
Principal Flow Assurance Constultant is responsible for ensuring that the objectives of the Production Optimization (PO) Group and its Customers are performed to a satisfactory high standard and that specific work tasks are performed safely, effectively, and in compliance with the specified objectives.
As such, he/she shall be viewed as a technical expert and a focal point for the Customer, Contractor(s), Suppliers/Vendors, and other internal department(s).
- Approve work scopes, proposals, and CTRs as required;
- Independently perform detailed technical work in support of project and study work;
- Lead critical work scopes and/or large projects;
- Provide Guidance to the Group in the areas of technology and core competency requirements as a Subject Matter Expert (SME);
- Perform technical monitoring and approval of any work by external contractors or vendors;
- Participate in Safety Reviews / HAZOP, and Risk Assessments and ensure that the foreseeable effects of specific tasks are fully assessed;
- Lead the PO team in the areas of subsea field development, onshore field development, and Onshore/offshore operational debottlenecking projects.
- Interface with other groups within the digital consulting business and provide support for proposal development, project execution, etc.
- Contribute to the growth of different service offerings within the PO group such as Energy Transition, CFD, Measurement Monitoring, and Verification business
- Act as an expert technical interface as required for peer reviews, partner's meetings, etc.;
- Approve project documents and ensure project QA compliance
- Propose, monitor, and/or execute research for the Production Optimization Group.
- Assist in the training and development of other team members.
- Represent Wood in Conferences, JIPs, and External meetings
- Assist the business development team with technical presentations for external Clients
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process or related discipline)
- At least 25 years' experience in Flow Assurance in the Oil & Gas sector
- Must have demonstrated knowledge with Flow Assurance tools/ people / capabilities
- Expert level use and understanding of OLGA, PIPESIM, PVTSim, Multiflash and Ledaflow
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills, with demonstrated independent working ability
- At least 10 years experience leading / managing small to large project scopes independently
- Excellent communication skills, combined with strong internal relationship building ability
- Excellent emotional intelligence skills
- Strong cultural awareness
