About the Company

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing team

What do you do

Track and investigate the complex transactions and document the transaction nature with appropriate supports.
Prepare journals and post to accounting system
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data and ensure that all accounts are reconciled and recorded properly
Read legal documents thoroughly and understand fund structure, distribution waterfall etc.
Organize and archive files including invoices, fund subscription agreements, stock purchases agreements etc.
Perform management fee and distribution calculation upon request
Maintain schedules including investment continuity, capital accounts movements, HST/GST tracking etc.
Work with large amounts of complex data and information from multiple sources and produce summaries to present to business partners and stakeholders
Assist in preparation of quarterly & annual financial statements for internal management reporting, external auditing, and tax filing purposes
Coordinate and support the yearend audit.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external contacts to resolves issues and promote improvements
Provide adhoc reporting and support special projects as required

What do you need to succeed

Must have

Minimum of 12 years of experience in an accounting/financial reporting capacity
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
Pursuing CPA or CFA designation with solid knowledge of ASPE or IFRS
Superior attention to details and strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables

Nice to have

Accounting/finance experience in investment fund industry is considered an asset
Knowledge of the Private Equity Fund and Venture Capital investment is considered an asset
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is considered an asset

Compensation

$65, $75,000.00
