Position Summary


Reporting to the Pharmacy Development and Operational Support Manager, the Pharmacy Operations Specialist will focus on supporting pharmacy transitions including onboarding, offboarding and pharmacy location internal moves.

They will also support operational projects and operations support as required.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Oakville, ON Pharmacy. The position will also require regular travel to various Pharmacies and homes across Ontario.


Your Day to Day:


  • Support pharmacy transitions including checking data and ensuring completion of tasks
  • Coordinating transitions with the homes and the pharmacy
  • Support new operational initiatives
  • Document and disseminate new processes throughout the contemplation, design, testing, and roll out of new processes within the pharmacy operations.
  • Create training materials for new hires and existing staff on new process workflows
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing improvement
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor programs and processes as necessary
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Operations Managers, Assistant Managers, and Designated Managers at all CareRx locations
  • Meet and exceed deliverables and timelines as assigned
  • Perform root cause analyses and develop recommendations for key areas of improvement
  • Support pharmacy operations as required

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacy (RPhT)
  • Must have extensive knowledge of LTC/RH pharmacy operational workflows and service delivery
  • Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with persons of varying levels of professional expertise in a professional and mature manner
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately
  • Dependable and responsible in the execution of job duties
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Must be selfdirected requiring mínimal supervision and able to work independently
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
  • Must demonstrate good listening skills and be adaptable to changes in job environment
  • Some travel to pharmacy sites across Ontario and client's locations as required
- eMAR experience an asset

Must possess a valid driver's license
