Job Summary

The ST-Engineer, Production assists with improvements to production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, cost per 1000 dosages, customer serviceand regulatory compliance in the Production department.

As a member of a team, the ST-Engineer, Production works with others in Solid Dose in an attempt to reduce or eliminate non-value added activities or costs, while maintaining or improving quality, productivity and timelines of the projects being managed.

Job Responsibilities


Work closely with Production Technicians and the Production Technical team to understand and analyze production processes and equipment in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.

Manage resources to complete projects on schedule and create contingency plans to ensure mínimal production impact.
Liaise regularly with Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance and SHE group to coordinate project activities.

Following Change Control requirement, coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment, including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQs) for new and existing equipment, as required.

Seek out issues and recommend

solutions for improvements in production processes, reliability and compliance to Production Operations, Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Generate maintenance and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as required.

Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), SOPs and in accordance with established Safety Standards.

Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.

Job Requirements

Education

Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Co-op education program.

Preferred Programs:
(Engineering, Sciences or related technical field).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work within a team environment (as part of a team).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Experience

Successful completion of third year in Engineering, Sciences or related technical field.
Experience in coordinating project activities is considered an asset.
