The Emergency Health I+IT Solutions & Technology Management Branch (EHSTMB):

  • provides technologies to support 911 ambulance communications and emergency health regulatory and oversight;


Please note that this position requires a rotational week every six weeks of 24/7 on call work to manage escalations or issues that may arise in the 9-1-1 centres.

Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of its business goals.

It will be your responsibility to inspire and motivate your team to deliver their best performance and align the team's daily actions with the strategic vision of the ministry.


As the Manager, Business Solutions, you will:

  • Provide leadership to the Software Development and Quality Assurance (QA) team
  • Lead and manage a team of Dev/ops specialists that will develop and test the branch's data products including 911 realtime dashboards, Data Integration hubs, Reporting solutions and Mobile Applications.
  • Lead team for Application deployments and 24/7 Tier 3 development support in Cloud and On-Prem based environments
  • Consult with and define client I&IT systems requirements and identify solutions.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance methodology is developed and practiced. This includes testing automation.
  • Direct systems development and implementation.
  • Direct internal development teams and third party suppliers in the operation of largescale batch and realtime systems including incident/problem management; and in providing solution development and implementation services.
  • Develop and manage relationships with ministry clients, stakeholders, suppliers, partners and other clusters/ministries.
  • Carry out management functions including, recruitment, performance management, resource management, and learning and staff development.
  • Demonstrate the
    leadership behaviours, attributes and mindset for leaders, across the organization, to lead the OPS into the future and deliver our vision.

  • You have knowledge of project management including planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, to effectively manage multiple, complex largescale high priority projects.
