Department of Psychology (Professor Signy Sheldon)
Position Summary:
- Collect estimates of memory to determine how they are linked to established knowledge and empathic processing
- Implement online versions of the inperson experiment by programming an experiment using Gorilla online testing software and Qualtrics and then collecting data from participants via the Prolific online recruitment platform
- Compile and organizes the resulting data from the experiments using software such as excel as well as R studio
- Conduct linear mixed model analyses and prepares data analysis summaries from the resulting experiments
- Participate in meetings pertaining to the research project, including with collaborators and students that will use the above described experiments
- Provide recommendations for future experimental studies
- Create various reports, e.g., ethics., when needed.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in psychology, experience working in a cognitive laboratory
- Experience and education: Experience with conducting experiments in a cognitive laboratory; experience organizing data and working with a research supervisor; Skills with data organization and analytic software
Hourly Salary:
$28.50
